  i know certain apologists might rub us the wrong way, but let's not treat them like their pieces of sh*t.. and i know certain posters might rub us the wrong way, but let's not be so quick to beat everybody down that's not of our same reasoning.. just saying..

  People like Emery are the reason that I talk to people that many others may consider "Trolls". Troll is an easy name to call someone that comes here with an agenda. But all it does is label them and attempt to discredit anything they say.

  But there are very real people on the other end of the computer. People with feelings that came here for a reason. A reason that we most likely don't know about. They may be lost and confused, but it comes across as haughty and self righteous.

  But, as Emery brought out, when we show ourselves to be immature and angry people, we only reinforce the stereotypes that were given to them.

  Should We Worship Jesus?

  there is one lord, one faith, one baptism.. jehovah and jesus are also both spoken of as savior.

  this is true because even though there are two personalities, and jesus also possesses a human body, they both also share the same substance or essence of god.

  this is similar to my son who shares 50% of my essence in dna.

  Does Jesus have to go to the toilet in heaven?

  What does he eat?

  Does he fart, sleep, snore, get an erection,?

  Does he have to shave?

  Cofty, because I know you, you know that I know that you know my answer to this. The resurrected Jesus has the same sort of body that we will have. A glorified body. What does that entail exactly? The Bible doesn't comment other than to say that it is a body clothed with immortality. Would an immortal body have a need to eat? I would speculate that it would not since not eating would lead to death; something that cannot happen to an immortal person. Does he fart, sleep, snore, get an erection? Who knows. Maybe? Does he have to shave? Jesus has a beard... :-)

  Since the wt is discredited, what is the pillar and support of truth now?

  since the wt with its doctrines past and present is discredited, is there an entity that can be shown to be the latter- day "-----pillar and support of truth---" paul was writing about at i tim 3:15.?

  have the believers or non-theists or exjws an equivalent at all ?

  because humans like to huddle around the fire for the radiant heat.

  Jesus IS the truth, according to the Bible. (John 14:6)

  The truth is not an organization.

  The truth is not even being absolutely certain that your particular set of beliefs is absolutely correct.

  You are in the truth if you believe in Jesus Christ, as far as the scriptures go. That's it.

  after leaving, i still couldn't wrap my head around evolution (after the years of seing "intelligent design" in everything around me).. there's a series of videos that give a good intro to evolution and critical thinking.

  i had been studying with the jehovah's witnesses for the last couple years.

  they have been interesting study sessions and have learned quite a bit about them and their beliefs.

  much of what they teach is what i had learned through personal bible study.. growing up was normal.

  Is it anyone's job to make JW apologists see the light and teach them TTATT?

  No, not at all. I'm saying that some used to be these very people, and are now here with us. Is it our JOB to preach and teach to them? No. But some of us know that even though these "Trolls" appear to merely be attempting to cause an emotional response, many really are just testing out the waters. They are not sure of their beliefs, and want to see what others will say about it.

  I'm not saying it's right. It's a pretty crappy way to go about testing your beliefs out. But some ARE going through their cognitive dissonance and they don't know how to handle it. So they come here and try to defend their beliefs to see if they hold up. When they DON'T, many will be able to take the next step in their questioning process.

  I'm not trying to "save" anyone here. I'm trying to encourage people like CHange Name to talk and work things out in their own brain if that is what they are trying to do. Merely facilitate an environment, if you will.

  DubR, the only reason that many of us respond is that there have been several that started out as JW apologists, and they began to see TTATT after attempting to argue their viewpoint.
